Motto Handroll Bar
Creative Direction & Visual Content Production
A full-scale visual production designed to establish Motto’s aesthetic language across digital platforms.
VISUAL TRANSITION
As Motto evolved, the objective was to establish a stronger visual identity, one that could move between intimacy and precision without losing coherence.
The production introduced two complementary visual worlds.
The first embraced warmth and depth, directional lighting, textured surfaces, and sculptural plating. Nigiri was treated almost as an object of study: elevated, isolated, and intentionally framed.
The second leaned into minimalism; clean backdrops, sharp composition, and controlled negative space. Cocktails became architectural elements, designed with balance, symmetry, and visual restraint.
Together, these two directions created a visual system that felt both immersive and refined.

CREATIVE APPROACH
Rather than documenting dishes, the focus was on constructing atmosphere.
Wood, stone, and ceramic elements were chosen to echo the restaurant’s tactile identity.
Light was treated as a design tool, creating contrast, shadow, and dimension.
The result was a cohesive image bank capable of supporting campaign launches, menu highlights, and long-term social storytelling.
This was not a photoshoot.
It was the definition of a visual language.
